<p>Yes, you can request a roommate change during the year, I have a few people who changed during the first 2 weeks because they weren't compatible with their roommates. As far as I know, you can only request a person by name, not by any other factor.</p>

<p>Also, you're not allowed to have wireless routers, but I set one up and password protected it, and nobody has bugged me about it. There's also wireless access in each dorm's LRC.</p>
