Freshmen Edge Vs. Summer Bridge?

these two programs are both summer school at berkeley, btu i dont know what the differences are....can anyone help me choose.

if you had gone through any of these summer programs, can you tell me what your experiences are?

[Summer Bridge](<a href=“Summer Bridge | Student Learning Center”>Summer Bridge | Student Learning Center) has a limited selection of courses, some of which are meant for those whose high school preparation in English and Math was inadequate (e.g. College Writing N2, Math 96, 32).

[Freshman Edge](http://summer.berkeley.edu/special-programs/freshman-session/course-lists#ListA) offers a much larger selection of courses, including those appropriate for students with AP credit. The “List A” courses are supposedly impacted during the fall and spring, so if you attend, you may want to try to take some of the key courses for your intended major, or key requirements like Reading and Composition, during that time.

An alternative is to take courses at a community college. See http://www.assist.org to match community college courses with Berkeley courses and requirements if you choose this option.

idk but my friend who was in summer bridge made a lot of great friends. summer programs, even if it’s not bridge, are always a great way to meet people and make long-lasting friends because you have more time to spend with them and get to know them better and they become like family.

does taking summer classes at berkeley give your priority when signing up for classes in the fall?

i doubt it. but maybe…it doesn’t really matter though. I got the classes I needed when I was a freshman in the fall
