I am international student from Turkey and I'm attending UM this fall. My major is engineering and I think I'll go for Industrial Engineering. Which courses would you suggest me taking this year?

They’ll tell you. You wont have much of a choice. It’ll go like this:

Whatever math you test into
Whatever science (Chem, Physics Mechanics or Physics E&M) you test into
Either Engr 100 or 101 (or 151 if ur cool like me)
and then a SS or HU if you want/need to.

By test in I meant depending on the credit you have coming in.

If you’re fairly certain that you want to do IOE, then I recommend taking ENGR 101 first semester. Assuming you also have credit for calc 2 (math 116), then you can take IOE 265 second semester.

Taking 101 first semester only really matters if you are coming in with a lot of credits and will otherwise be done will all the engineering prerequisites your freshman year. Additionally, if you are not coming in with a lot of credits, you may have trouble signing up for IOE 265 second semester because you will not be able to sign up before they run out of seats.

However, if you are coming in with a lot of credits, DO sign up for Engr101 first semester.

Cough… 151… cough
