Freshmen housing...anyone know about it?

Hey everyone,

I need some help on this. A friend of mine and I got accepted to Penn. We are looking to get a 3 or 4 bedroom apartment; that way, we can still be with each other, but we’ll also meet new people–hopefully a place where there are a lot of freshmen. Where is the best place for this? Is it the high-rises, or Gregory?

Hey......you are asking the wrong crowd here! Go to the Penn site.

um...hazmat...this is the Penn board lol

As for freshman housing, you dont need a triple or quad to meet new people. Gregory and the high rises do not have many freshman- dont go to either.

Put down for your choices the three quad houses (Ware, Reipe, and Fisher) and Hill (cause its quite competitive to get into the quad), and request for a double together (there is a section for that on the housing application). No matter which of the 4 houses you end up in, you'll be surrounded by freshmen and u'll get to know everyone around u.

yea there arent a LOT of freshmen on the highrises, but u do get put into a freshman floor if u get into the high rises. as for me, i prefer the apts in the high rises... i can still social and hang out at my friend's at the quad, but definitely would prefer having my "own" bathroom, and own room, cuz in the high rises its separate rooms and a common room.
