<p>Learn from DS’s experience…</p>
<p>DS had a heck of time locating his Proxy Code. </p>
<p>He followed the instructions on the 1/31/13 e-mail to go to housing.ua.edu, but my brilliant son could not locate the little RED HOUSE icon (his 13 yr brother did). In DS defense, all Bama pages are loaded with information, so I can see how he may have not noticed since he obviously did not read the full e-mail telling you EXACTLY where to look.</p>
<p>After he linked, he found his roommate Proxy Code (10 character random letters). There is a button to Change Proxy Code. DS “thought” he could customize his Proxy to his choosing, but the button just changes to another random 10 characters (in case you provided your code to someone and now no longer want that individual to pull you into a room).</p>
<p>Since the Proxy is case sensitive, I advise anyone trying to be pulled in a room to cut/paste then text or e-mail to your potential roommates.</p>
