How difficult is it for freshmen to live on North Campus? Do freshmen who request North Campus typically get their top choices, or do upperclassmen quickly fill the spots?

i also want to know (about the upper/lower quads specifically)

Freshmen can get put on North Campus. It happens, but I don’t know about how often. If you really want to be on North Campus, and you are originally assigned to South Campus, e-mail housing. Spots tend to open up around the end of June when the cancellation deadline is. It is easier to get moved up there if you are willing to go up there by yourself, instead of trying to go with your room-mate.

I’m not sure about your odds, but I live on North Campus as a sophomore and I feel really bad for the first-years on my hall because North Campus dorms aren’t NEARLY as social as South Campus. Yeah, your room won’t be quite as nice down there, but at least you’ll meet tons of other new students who’re in the same boat that you are & don’t have established groups of friends yet…

If you are an honors student, you get a realistic chance of being in the North campus.

Anyone know if an honors student can room with a non-honors student in Cobb?
