lol thats an application to work for the orientation.

^
yeah but it also has a list of all the sessios.

for warren you don't have a choice. orientation is in september.
we moved in on wednesday though which was AWESOME!! plus you have orientation together with all of the new warren students. did i mention we got to move in 3 days early???

moving in was a b!tc# though... looooong wait in the car... oh well.
i still think warren's orientation in september is the best. =]

Anyone know when is orientation for Marshall College students? Thanks.

these were last year's, just translate them to the equivalent weekends for 2008 by counting from the end of the school year (see academic calendar on tritonlink)

or if that's too much work for you, i dunno, email the college?

Does anyone know what time the orientation starts? I have the dates but they didnt tell me the time. Thanks

8 am. least for revelle, im assuming the others too

I'm sure everyone already knows this , but we can now register for orientation on tritonlink! yayy

yeah i called them today and found out.

Need to report my ap tests still!

In case people still aren't sure when Revelle's orientation dates are:
June 19-20, June 24-25, June 27-28, Sept. 18-19

All start at 8 AM I believe.

is it neccessary for parents to go to the orientation as well? any benefits of this? i'm planning on attending the latest session because i will be out of the country in june, are there any negatives to this?

its not necessary at all...parents just want to kinda see what theyre paying for and where their kids are going to be for the next year/4 years of their lives...i dont think they even have parent orientation in sept?? not sure

and in the sept orientation youll be able to move in sooner (plus!) but its only a day. Some people say that orientation is a great place to meet new friends/etc, but youll have enough time doing that when you get there, so theres not too much bad to say about going to the sept orientation, other than youll miss out the little help they give you explaining ge's and what classes you should be taking (just follow your major req, and look at what ge's you should take) its not too hard to figure out yourself, youll sign up in august

where do we stay during the orientation?
do we stay in some dorms or something?

and whose parents are going to go with them?

you stay in the reshalls of your college for one night. you're assigned a roommate, but it's very likely that he/she will never show up (we had a dozen-ish kids make a midnight trip to TJ during orientation).

my dad flew down to SD with me, but he stayed as far from the campus as possible.

@ BlueSkyPinkCloud

I just want to clarify that there is a parent orientation on Sept.

ah. thats good then : ) lol

yes there are parent orientations in september parents can register for orientation by going to http://newparent.ucsd.edu/

wait okay, i'm confused, someone told me that the freshman orientation sessions are two days long. i thought you just had to attend one session (i'm in marshall, so i'm going to the 23rd one) and go back home by around 5:30 ish the same day? can someone clarify for me..

Anyone know what's happening with the winter admits? (I'm in Warren btw)

your orientation is during the fall quarter, if i recall.
