Hey everyoneee :D

Incoming freshmen here!

Here's what I've got planned for semester 1 at Cal.

R&C: Asian Studies
Seminar: Environmental Policies
Math 1B or 53 (still deciding/depending on Calc BC scores)
Econ 1a/1b (which first?)

(Pyschology if any of these courses are filled by the time I go to CalSo)

Can you guys suggest any other back ups? I would like your opinions on whether this schedule is too light/heavy and which classes I should sign up for first at CalSo. :)

Also, when do we find out who our roommate is? :D

Thanks!

I don’t think you are allowed to take Econ 100a as an incoming fall freshman. feel free to prove me wrong though during your CalSO if you manage to sign it up. Other than that, your schedule is very manageable. You should sign up for R&C, definitely your seminar, and your econ so you can choose your section for phase I. Math is always a phase II course.

You can’t sign up for Econ 100a/b until freshman spring or sophomore year. If you and your roommate both released each other’s contact info, you will find out the first week of August or so (This is from what I’ve read on other threads). If not, you will find out on move-in day.
