Freshmen Schedules?

I don't know how many other incoming freshmen are on here, but for those of you that see this (and those of you that remember your old schedule) post away.

Here's mine.

PreAP (Honors) Eng 1
Geometry Honors
AP Enviromental Science
AP Human Geography
Latin I
Jazz Ensemble
HOPE (Health Oppurtunities through Physical Education which is required in FL)

you’re an 8th grader right now?
lolz.
hilarious.

boost your geometry.
take pre-calc or calc freshman year.

env sci and human geo are self studies. don’t waste time in class on those.

thats about it.

take an actual science please.

ap bio is standard for freshman.

Position69, what the hell are you talking about?
Skipping ahead to Calculus? AP Bio as standard?
PRUNEFACE, ignore that *****.

I would suggest dropping AP Geo in favor of AP Euro or World… more useful.
AP Bio would be hard. Perhaps go for an Honors Bio course. Environ isn’t great.

No one says “Pre-AP.”

lol at the school I’m headed to there are a bunch of “Prequistes” (sp) including grade level. Euro is only available as an elective in 11th-12th grade (same as psychology) and AP World is one of the three options for required SS sophmore year. Honors Bio (at my school) is not recommended by the older students and their parents, they all say go AP Enviro.

Lol, that’s either “requisite” or “prerequisite.” Or even “perquisite,” but that’s not even close to the definition you were looking for.

Take Geometry over the summer. It’s really easy and not worth the two semesters.

My schedule was:

H Spanish 1
H Int-Cor Sci
H Alg 2
H Eng 9
H Wrld Hist
Jazz Ensemble

H English 2
H Algebra 2
H Physical Science
H Global Studies
NJROTC
Band

CP Spanish 2 (no H @ my school)
Freshman Band
H Biology
H English 1
H Algebra 2
H World History

I have never heard of anyone taking AP’s as a freshman (at my school). Last year’s valedictorian took 2 as a sophomore, but ended p going to Rutgers, so uh… whatever.

^ Neither have I. And my school only offers 1 AP as a soph (then 3 or 4 for Jun/Sen.)

Take Geometry Honors online on FLVS over the summer.

Take Algebra II Freshman Year.
Take Biology Honors online through FLVS.

Back when I was a freshhhie, I took:

H Math A
H English 9
H Global History I
R Biology
H Spanish II

English I H
Geometry H
Local, State, and National Government H
Earth Science H
French II
PE
Orchestra (Go violas!)

I took:
Geometry Honors
Biology Honors
Spanish 1 Honors
English 1 Honors
P.E.
AP World History
Health/Life Management

mine offers several APs for a sophmore including: AP Stats (if you take Algebra II Honors concur.), World History, Art History and Studio Art 2/D and Studio Art 3/D and Music Theory, (all “artistic” ones are also available as a freshman) and my school also offers courses for credits toward an aeronautic degree (we are in a MAJOR aviator communicator Navy + AF -my parents are some of the only parents that do not have a spouse in the military).

Freshman Schedule:
Honor American Lit (10th grade course :D)
APUSH (Another 10th grade course :D)
Honor Advanced Alg 2 (9 or 10th grade course)
AP computer science (11 th or 12th grade course :DD)
Spanish II
Honor Bio (Yet another 10 grade course :D)

As it appears on my transcript:

AP Art History
Applications of Science Honors
Advanced Composition Honors
Geometry
Algebra II
AP Art History (Yes, listed twice -_-)
English I Honors
Engineering Honors
World History Honors
Pre-calculus Honors

1) Honors Algebra II

2) Honors English 9

3) Honors Physics

4) General Physical Education (Graduation Requirement)

5) Software Applications (Graduation Requirement)

6) Honors French 3

7) Honors US History

–

At my school, it is very rare to see a 9th grader with any AP classes because students are required to take the “Honors” version of the class before the AP (e.g. Honors USH before APUSH). There only a few exceptions to this rule like AP Psych/AP Environmental Science/AP Human Geo.

However, once Sophomore Year rolls around, basically all the APs are open.

My freshman schedule was:

Symphonic Band
Honors Natural Science I
Honors Geometry
Honors English I
French I
P.E. for a semester / Swim Team (Athletics) for a semester

My school doesn’t over APs until junior year, unless you’ve taken the prereq classes. And our community college doesn’t allow students below 11th grade to take classes. So nobody takes APs freshman year, and only some new students take AP sophomore year.

Mine was;

Honors Earth Science
Honors English
Latin I
Symphonic Band
Release-Seminary
Debate
Global Perspectives (Required)
Dance
Geometry

My school doesn’t allow AP’s until junior year…they don’t care if you’re board or advanced…PERIOD. I want to hurt them.
