I’m about to be a sophomore in high school and I just took the June ACT with a 27 composite. :\
For most sophomores, is a 27 kind of mediocre??

27 is a great score for a sophomore. It’s better than 87% of juniors and seniors. Just keep doing well in school and take the test again in your junior or senior year. Schools don’t like students who take the tests multiple times.
My sophomore year I got a 24. Without studying, I got a 30 my junior year. If you devote time and effort, you should be able to get a very competitive score by your junior year. Best of luck.
p.s. 27 is considered good, even if you were a junior.
