freshmen "Summer term" acceptance

Is anyone familiar with "summer term" acceptance? I realize that it means that a student starts freshmen year the summer PRIOR to the fall term. If anyone has started Michigan at this term, your feedback on what it was like would be appreciated. Specifically....
- what courses did you take and how did you find them (any recommendations?)
- how many other freshmen started then
- how was the summer in Ann Arbor
- any other relevant information or recommendations or things to avoid....

One drawback for those who start in the summer term is that it ends August 17th and one must move out of the summer dorms until the Fall term move-in date arrives at the end of August (somewhere around the 29th or so). So for people from out of town, what do they do for the 10 day gap?

Thanks.

bump please

I think they will let you move in early. Just call the Housing Office.

Either early move in, or they might put you up in Northwood apartments for the time inbetween. You'll have to call/ask to make sure, but they have something set in place.

is this for borderline ppl

There are usually around 300 freshman who come early for summer.

Some are there for a program that helps enhance their readiness for college-level work, but not all.
