Freshmen taking SATII Biology E/M (E or M?)

I'm a freshman and I'm taking the SAT2 Biology on June 2nd which is pretty soon. I don't know whether I should take E or M. I seriously wish I started studying earlier but oh well; can't change that. Anyway, I don't know if I should take E or M. I was thinking M because the topics that I did study for so far are Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Also, I heard that E questions are harder but the topic is easy. The thing is, I'm naturally pretty good at chemistry and can understand the concepts pretty well. I'm wondering what I need to know to take the M test or should I just take the E test?

Also, I don't have a lot of time left to study and have been cramming like crazy. I want to know which topics are more commonly asked. I've heard that Evolution and bio-diversity is asked a lot as is Genetics and Organismal Biology. But which topics should I study most?

Thanks so much for your help.

Study for both, as you will need common information for both. There are 60 common questions and 40 (I think) pertaining to the focus you select. Basically, if you pick E you get more ecology, evolution & diversity questions, and if you pick M you get more cells, biochem and genetics questions. You’ll have to know those concepts no matter which test you take, so (as I said) study for both. You get to see both sections so you can go ahead and pick the one you like best/can do best on.

I studied Barrons along with a regular high school bio course (not AP) my freshman year and reviewed what we didn’t cover (plants, taxonomy, hormones, etc) and got a 740.

Best of luck!
