Do the colleges that don't take into consideration your freshman year recalculate your GPA, eliminating that classes you took as a freshman? What if you had a good grade in your freshman year?

dis is how it goes
ex 1) if you have a great freshman gpa and you started going on a downtrend....ur chances decreases ...a lot.
ex 2) if you start slow and get a huge upward trend...dat looks awesome

colleges do look at freshman and they know it is the adjusting year where kids transition from middle school to high school. shouldnt worry if you have bad freshman grades, but good soph/junior grades

some colleges officially say they they do not consider frosh year whatsoever. other schools may look at it more, but most emphasis is on soph & esp junior & 1st sem sr.
like the last post, upward trend = looks good!

If colleges looked only at my soph. and junior year grades, that would be golden.

(4.3 is cut off for NHS)
Freshman year: 4.2
Sophomore: 4.6
Junior: 4.85

Oh well.

what's nhs?

National Honor Society

In my school you have to have a certain GPA to get invited to the selections process.

In my school; anyone can join the honor society as long as he/she has a minimum GPA of 3.5...those bastards...
I think sup has posted this before; but just show some improvement....
