I am a student in Florida who is planning on graduating on May of 2019 at 16 years old. I was looking at my dream colleges and noticed a lot of them required freshmen live on campus for the entirity of their freshmen year. This causes complications because I do not believe I can live alone at age 16. Is there a way for these requirements to be waivered at these schools?

By “live alone”, do you mean not with your parents?
Most college frosh in on-campus housing have roommates, since most college dorms have double (or triple) rooms or suites, rather than standalone single rooms. You can check on the specific college web sites or ask directly to find out how the on-campus housing is designed.
All those schools have had 16 year olds enrolled. It really isn’t a problem.
I’m sure there are plenty of kids who won’t even hit 18 until sometime their freshman year, so in terms of being a minor, you won’t be alone. You will be put with other freshmen, and that opportunity to meet people in your room, on your floor, in your dorm is worth it.
