How bad is my freshmen year screw up compared to my improvement. Sorry if this a bit exasperating....

Any chance of Ivy. Be honest please.

;(

You’re fine. You only messed up in Calc and you were taking it as a freshman.

Your grades are fantastic. You took calc in freshman year which is outstanding. They will let that slide I’m sure. Just make sure to explain it under extenuating cirumstances. Based on grades, you’re better than most and your chances are very high. But what are your ECs? Have you taken the SAT yet?

Also, did you have to take AP Chinese twice?

This is a joke.

Thank you Butters1

SAT

Math: 760
Writing: 630
Reading: 660

I took AP Chinese twice because I took AP Chinese for the IB Chinese Test to.

AP

AP Calc AB: 4
AP Calc BC: 5
AP Calc AB Subscore: 5
American History: 4

ExtraCurricular

Varsity Swimming
Varsity Track
Swimming Captain
Chinese Club President
Chess Club President

Others

SAT 2 math and physics scores are coming in. 4 AP and 2 IB scores are also coming in. Hopefully i did 4 or better.

Most of this leadership stuff is going to be for senior year where I have already been elected. Swimming is kind of weird…I got captain in 10th grade but not 11th…

A bunch of science fair stuff and science olympiad stuff

I just don’t like my freshmen grades very much and my SAT tests scores aren’t super good. Extracurriculars are decent but at the same time not over the roof great. They’re decent but definately not the greatest.

Thanks for the help Butters and everybody. This means a lot. If any of you need any help let me know.

I also have some additional summer activity stuff and internships. All of them relate to science.

Freshmen Year: Easy summer classes to fullfill graduation requirements
Sophmore Year: Northrop Grumman Intern(Engineering)
Junior Year: Dugway Proving Grounds Intern(Microbiologist Intern)

There’s always Community College…

Why did you do both AB and BC for calc. Idk about your school, but at mine, AP Calc is one class, and everyone takes the BC test.

Overrall, you look good, but not HYPSM good. I’d suggest looking towards the good LACs

same with your ECs. They are good, but not outstanding, which is what it takes to get into the Ivies, unless you are an incredible runner or swimmer.
