Fresman seminars & 7-course requirement

I'm a freshman for Fall 2008, now writhing in agony to make right course selections.

Those freshman seminars, can those seminars be used to satisfy the 7-course breadth requirement in L&S?

Say, if I took 'Physics 24, Section I: From Mythbusters to
Science Fiction,' then I'm done with the Physical Science
requirement?

Or, say I took one of biology-related seminars, and can that class be used to
satisfy the Biological Science requirement?

I'm pretty bad at science, and the 7-course is killing me.

Thank you in advance for your time.

p.s. Why are most classes crowded in TuTh?
I mean, I was thinking of taking

Intro to American Politics
Physics C10
History 7A -- US Settlement to Civil War /or/ College Writing R4B,

but they're all TuTh!!

I’m pretty sure only courses two or more units count for the breadth requirements, so most seminars wont work.

yeah… guess you are right.

It seems there’s one course that satisfy the requirements: Poli Sci 39B, for SBS or IS. (sigh… that’s my major..)

Also wonder why there’s no seminar on philosophy or journalism..
