friday classes

i was glancing at college p r o w l e r and for the 'Best of' section for pitt, it says going out on thursday nights and no friday classes? Is this information dated? Or does pitt really not have friday classes? It would kind of explain why winter break is only 2 weeks and why school ends late april...but i'm not sure if this is true or not.

Is there any truth to what college p r o w l e r .com is saying?

I can’t speak for everyone, but my daughter has had Friday classes for each semester out of eight!

probably was just outdated…or only yrue for the person who posted it

friday classes are nbd though.

thanks! :)

There are classes offered on Friday, but it is possible to have a schedule with Fridays free. D had Friday classes first semester, but not this semester. She’s carrying 17 credits this semester, so it’s not that she is slacking.

Son has had Friday classes every semester (currently a junior). I am sure there are students who try to get a schedule with no classes on Friday :)

Funny that P r o w l e r would consider the ability to go out drinking on Thursday nights to be the “best” of Pitt! I guess that shows where the site is coming from.

My son has Friday classes as well.

Most classes meet either MW or TuTh with recitations or labs possibly scheduled on Fridays. There are MWF classes as well as classes that meet five days a week (languages) but these aren’t as common, so it’s very possible to have a schedule with no classes on Fridays.

thanks everyone!

again though, friday classes are not a big deal :)

college p r o w l e r isn’t really the best way to get an overall picture of a school :P
