<p>Congratulations! I am very pleased to offer you admission to the williams college class of 2013. </p>

<p>Our applicant pool of over 6,000 candidates included students with extremely impressive academic credentials from a broad and interesting range of backgrounds. As a result, our admission committee was challenged as never before in making careful and fair decisions. To be one of the 1,220 students chosen for admission this year is no small accomplishment, and you should be extremely proud of the work you have done.</p>

<p>I would like to encourage you to visit williams prior to making your final decision. Ideally, you will be able to attend our on-campus previews program on april 20th & 21st. This will allow you to spend some time in a dorm, visit classes, attend panel discussions, meet with faculty, and speak with representatives from a wide array of student organizations. We hope to see you and your family for this special event. A link to our previews page can be found here: Williams previews 2009.</p>

<p>Please inform us by may 1st whether or not you plan to attend williams. A return envelope will be provided with the hard copy of your acceptance letter, which was mailed on march 26th. In order to confirm your place, please send us a non-refundable $200 deposit, which will be credited to your first-term tuition bill. We expect that you will make no simultaneous deposit or commitment at any other college. Your acceptance to williams, of course, is contingent upon the successful completion of your academic program and your continuation as a citizen in good standing at your school. If these conditions are not met to the admission committee’s satisfaction, we reserve the right to revoke our offer of admission.</p>

<p>If you have applied for financial aid, the office of financial aid plans to mail all financial aid decision letters to those with completed applications on or about april 1.</p>

<p>Again, let me offer you my heartiest congratulations. I believe that you would profit immensely from four years with us here in williamstown. Whatever your ultimate decision, however, i am confident that you will contribute enormously to your college community, both intellectually and personally.</p>
