friends at school

Where does everyone think that they will or have made most of their friends in college? dorms, classes, etc? Also, would people say that they feel more or less "alone time" at college?

I've met my clostest friends in my dorm-they are mostly on the floor below me. Also, you'll get to know people though your friends, like I've started to become close with people in the hall across from mine, because a girl who lives across from me met a girl who lives in that hall from a summer program in England. JOIN CLUBS/ACTIVITES! thats where you'll almost meet people too. I've only gotten to know a few people in my classes, but only one was a true group discussion class, and (sadly only at the end) of the term did I realize that a girl in my writing class always ate breakfast at the same time as me, so we began having breakfast together. Don't worry.....it takes time to find your niche and it can be frusterating....lol i know from experience.

dorms, definitely. all the kids on my floor are really close and thats where i've made my good friends at college.

it depends on your amount of "alone time." you can definitely find some, especially after the first several weeks of school, but keep in mind to get out there and meet people and not spend so much time alone in your room during the beginning few weeks. its tough to get out of your comfort zone, but i'm sure you can do it. good luck :-)
