As far as LS series - bioE’s don’t have to take LS2, however from anecdotal evidence I’ve heard that “LS 1 is easier, but boring” I believe it covers a lot of the phylogeny stuff from early AP Bio, whereas LS 2 is “tougher, but interesting”. In my experience, LS 2 will be a good amount of work if you don’t have an AP Bio background (got my A in that class because I rocked the first midterm, which was cell biology).

Any other opinions out there? Not sure how life sci physics should be approached, I had started physics 1A in winter of freshman year.

I much prefer LS2 to LS1, but I have Halpin for LS1 and had Esdin for LS2. He’s absolutely great - I’m sure he’ll make LS1 much more interesting, so you should go for that and take LS2 when he’s teaching it again!

As for Chem 14BL, I heard that Pang is more difficult than Russell (that’s who I took) but idk, it’s a difficult class in general. time-consuming, even if you have old labs

physics…I don’t know about those teachers, I have Peroomian right now and I would highly recommend him

Why are you taking stats 10 instead of 13?

Chem 14C is a prereq for LS 3 so if you take LS 2 and want to take LS 3 the quarter after, make sure to take 14C now

through the grapevine, Johnny Pang’s exams have gotten a bit easier since his earlier days of curve destruction in 20L. What I remembered was that Pang = was either notecard or no notes of the midterm where my friend who had Russell was given either a sheet of notes or a notecard. This was ~3 years ago
