Get a reasonable quality printer for which you can find cheap ink refills. You can print of the schools computers, but at 10 cents a page it gets pricey very quickly. And you certainly don't want to be the guy who's always bumming printouts off of people either.

As for a fridge, I would say that by their Junior year at school probably 80% or so of people have fridges in their rooms. Certainly don't buy one before you get to school and can talk about it with your roommate(s), but I'm betting you'll end up wanting one. Whether it's for beer, soda, leftovers, whatever, it makes things so much easier to just have it in your room where you don't have to worry about stuff getting jacked, messed with, etc.

You all can decide whether you want to rent or buy. If you decide to buy look on Craigslist for the local area and I'll be you can find one for cheap from a seller who's on campus. Keep in mind though that the start of school is when everyone is looking to buy, so if you can do without for a month or so you'll probably be able to find a better deal. Renting, well, I'm sure some people do it but it's certainly not the most common practice. CardinalMall will rent them to you but if you're planning on keeping it for anything length of time at all, it's probably better just to suck it up and store it, you're going to end up having to store a lot of your stuff anyway.

Wow Dock thanks alot for your helpful reply!!
