Frighten Me...

Hello. Yes. A friend of mine recommended this for self-tormenting pleasure.

Do I have a chance at early decision Brown University?

-French Club Secretary all three years
ACT: 29 , but I'm taking it again in September to try and bring it up.
Do colleges honestly care if you went on a psycho trip? If they do, I did spend an entire summer in Iran before Junior year. My grandparents/cousins live there so it was for visiting happiness. Crazy. I learned much though. realizes he is getting conversational with himself anyway...

But yes. I would truly appreciate it if you could give me some advice. If you think Brown wouldn't take me--and you are feeling kind--please recommend happy challenging colleges.

Dang. I apologize. I was also in Varsity Swimming sophomore year.

and I rank 5-7%.

You are an African American Iranian? Isn't that highly unusual?

I think you have a great chance at Brown ED as an URM. Your ACT is low for Brown but it might be excused since you're an URM. I would try to raise it though. Also, what happened to your SAT II scores? I don't see any.

And what do you mean a psycho trip? I went to Iran when I was 13 and it was awesome.

Suze, he never said he was Iranian. He just said his grandparents/cousins lived there. Cyrus, jump in any time. I try not to assume things over the Internet.

So many African Americans move to Iran, it's such a warm and cozy retirement opportunity!!

Sure you have a chance. Just apply and don't put too much into it have plenty of matches/backups.

No African American lives in Iran, I don't believe it. Unless they like work at the American embassy. Are you half African American half Iranian?

what is MESA?

I have an inkling as to what it is. MESA = Middle Eastern Studies Association.

Um...to clarify I'm half African American half Iranian. My dad was born here and my mom was born in Iran. She came here for college before the whole shah revolution thing, stayed, met my dad, bla bla. I did not expect for it to cause sarcasm/mild controversy. lol.

hey cyrus, UR DEF IN or have a really good chance because of ur URM status

what is urm?

URM = Under Represented Minority such as African Americans, Hispanics, and Native Americans.

Thanks for clearing up that conundrum Cyrus. Raise that ACT score and I think you have a good chance at Brown.

Go to stanford man. I will paypal you $1 if you don't get in next year. (so long as you dont f up the grades real bad).
