Frighten Me

Hello. Yes. A friend of mine recommended this for self-tormenting pleasure.

Do I have a chance at early decision Brown University?

Minority: African American
GPA: 3.8 unweighted, 3.9 weighted (I’m starting senior year with 6 ap isn’t sure if that matters)
EC nonsense:
-4 years TKD, won state at an AAU tournament junior year, won several regional and city as well, teach class every week
-3 years Key Club
-Manager of school store (junior year) for Wilderness Club , been in it for 3 years though.
-Christian Club leader, youth group at my church
-MESA sentinel (junior year), have been in it for 2 years
-Habitat for Humanity/Soup Kitchen stuff 200-300 so hours
-French Honor Society Treasurer this year (FHS for Junior and Senior year)
-Art Honor Society historian for this year (AHS for Junior and Senior year)
-NHS (for this year)
-Art Club (all highschool),
-French Club Secretary all three years
ACT: 29 , but I’m taking it again in September to try and bring it up.
Do colleges honestly care if you went on a psycho trip? If they do, I did spend an entire summer in Iran before Junior year. My grandparents/cousins live there so it was for visiting happiness. Crazy. I learned much though. realizes he is getting conversational with himself anyway…

But yes. I would truly appreciate it if you could give me some advice. If you think Brown wouldn’t take me–and you are feeling kind–please recommend happy challenging colleges.

Those on my other thread got really “excited” about my ethnicity so…
Um…to clarify I’m half African American half Iranian. My dad was born here and my mom was born in Iran. She came here for college before the whole shah revolution thing, stayed, met my dad, bla bla. I did not expect for it to cause sarcasm/mild controversy on my other post but it did.

Certainly seems competative. I am not sure how ACT translates to SAT but if I remember right, the average is higher than that. But you have solid ECs, great GPA, and, not to sound prejudice, race all in your favor.

Brown is the type of school that is more likely to disregard things like ACTs and SATs in favor of solid writing and a true presentation of personality in your essay, so write a great one and I'd say you're quite competative.
