Hello All,

Im currently a Community college student at La Guardia Community College in New York
and have 12 credits with a low GPA of 3.325 in the 4.0 scale.
So here comes the problem, I gratuated in my home country Where I got the equivalent to an ¨A¨or GPA of 4.0 over the 4.0 scale but what I´ve read is that Cornell does not really takes seriouslly High School grades from international students unless they gratuated from a recogniced international school.

So my High School was pretty bad and poor... and it did not really had Extra curriculars and clubs and etc etc... But I still did a lot of volunter work and participated in some projects in the city and managed to get a perfect grade.

I would like to apply to Develoment Sociology at Cornrell CALS so and im just about to start my somophore year taking 3 honors classes and 1 of sociology (completing all the requirements classes to transfer as a somophore to Cornell Development Sociology Major)

So after this semester I would end with at least a 3.5 or 3.6 GPA considering Im shooting for straight A´s that would get me in the PTK club ,deans list and honors society.(I messed up my first semester because my english level sucked!)

Im also currently voluntering in New york some hours a week.

So considering this:

Where it is stated that 3.0 is a minimum required and its also stated:

¨This articulation agreement creates a guarantee transfer program between LaGuardia Community College and The College of Agriculture and Life Scinces at Cornell University¨

(do they really mean its a ¨Guaranteed¨ trasfer? or just competitive)

and also considering that I love all related with Development Sociology and have some Curriculum of volunteer at communities in my country taking in mind that Cornrell really looks if the student ¨Fits¨ the major.

Plus the fact that I am a minority ,southamerican Hispanic/Latino (Does forming part of a minority group helps me?)

I´am also planning to be involved in a Club this semester...
Im Biligual and know how to read Hebrew
Play Soccer, Almost a black Belt in Kempo(martial arts) ,and can make an amazing essay describing my aspirations and ¨hobbies¨

Do you guys think I have the slightest chance to transfer? also could you put the percentage of chance do you think I have?

Cornell is my Dream College ever since I was in my country ,but I always thought it was not realistic to even think about it... but now that I am in the USA and found this Articulation Agrement, I tought that I might had a chance?

What do you guys think?

P.S: How can I proof Cornell all my extracurriculars and Volunter work? do they ask for documents or references?

Thanks!
