Does anyone knows that if one has taken the 2+2 plan and is transferring to up after 2 years, are their certain criteria to be met.?

My uncle called penn state and they said that in order to get to up after 2 years for business program one has to maintain a gpa of 3 min. Plus if not then one can still transfer but has to choose a different stream apart from business.

Is it the way how it works.?

Please let me know.

Yes, 3.0 min and you are guaranteed transfer.

Thanks.

Secondly I need some assistance in filling out the housing info and setting my preferences and all… Can u help me with that

For entrance to major requirements to transfer from another campus to University Park you should review this: [Entrance to Major Requirements 2014 ? Smeal Undergraduate Student Exchange](http://ugstudents.smeal.psu.edu/academics-advising/get-into-a-smeal-major/entrance-to-major-requirements-2014). I believe you will need a 3.5 GPA at the end of your Soph year for Finance and 3.2 for other Smeal majors, plus take the necessary courses, in order to transfer into Smeal at UP for your final 2 years. Even students “pre-accepted” into Smeal at University Park need to meet these requirements - you would just need to fulfill them at Altoona.

No mate… These are now applicable if u have chosen the 2+2 plan.

My uncle called penn and they said in that case u need to get a 3.0 gpa and u r good to go to Penn state university park…

I would suggest you double check and maybe someone else can weigh in. Maybe the 3.0 does not apply specifically to Smeal? From the link:

Procedure Overview — Below are four critically important steps highlighting the requirements and procedure for application to a Smeal College of Business major:
