I took AP Calulus AB my senior year in high school and did pretty well and did well on the AP exam (5), now I will be taking Multivariable Calulus my freshman year in college, without taking Calulus 2 (Calulus BC). Will I be able to make it through Multivariable? Thanks
You could probably learn a lot of multivariable calculus without knowing Calculus II. However, multivariable calculus usually has Calculus II (or the second part of AP Calculus BC) as a prerequisite. Even if you get into the class without it, you’d probably have to take Calculus II at some point.
Thanks for the response, as of right now I won’t be taking Calc II, just jumping straight into Multivariable. Is this a bad idea? I can’t even take Calc II because my college placed me in Multivariable
