Are the Squadrons still training the newly minted C4C's? Don't they have ACQ or something in the evenings?

Yes, many are. We start training ours beginning monday. Yes, they have ACQ starting at either 1910 or 1940 depending on the day. They are left alone for the most part.

1,223 out of 1,304 finished BCT.

We haven't had a training session since becoming Cadets (shhhhh, don't tell CS-12 staff). I'm sure that we will start doing some more PT soon, though. ACQ [Academic Call to Quarters] starts around 1910, and once that bugle sounds, no training is allowed.

That's a pretty high attrition rate for the class of 2011.
Interestingly, I believe USAFA will officially record an entering class of 1223. The official enrollment for the class of 2011 will be based on Acceptance Day rather than I-day.

Concerning the earlier discussion about a limit of 1000 graduates per year - I think there is a congressional limit of 4000 on the academy enrollment rather than on the size of the graduating class. Theoretically the academy could graduate 1000 out of an enrollment of 4000, but it isn't going to happen. Sometimes the enrollment probably goes a little over 4000, but congress doesn't really seem to care all that much about it.

In the '50's all the academies had MANY fewer cadets enrolled. Later congress allowed for increased admissions to provide for an expanded military.

Almost all were MTBs. We were actually told that our attrition rate was the lowest in several years. shrug

Isn't that a picture of redhead on the front page of the base newspaper?

An Banana is on page 2

I think 2010 was also told that they had a low attrition rate (must be something they tell every class). 2010 lost about 60 in BCT and about half of those were MTB's. The previous class had exactly 22 MTB's in BCT and they distinguished themselved by having a 100% return rate on I-day.

lol, CCers are representing. I did get to briefly talk to bnana on the TZO yesterday as eagle was walking next to her.

As per US Code Title 10 Subtitle D Part III Chapter 903 paragraph j, RTBdad is kinda correct. The allocation now is 4400. There is no law limiting the number of graduates out of this total number. If the numbers at the last day of class each year exceed this end strenght by more than 1%, there are ramifications which are not pleasant. So if a cadet has an academic board after second semester and the total Cadet Corps strength is 4445, make plans to be a civilian. Smilie.

it was nice seeing some of the new 4 digs at the SNACCC service last night at the prep school chapel!
