From Bioengineering to EECS

I've been accepted to College of Engineering Spring 2012 freshmen.
However, I applied bioengineering as my major and my admission letter doesn't mention anything about my major. It only says that I've got into the college of engineering and that's it.

So I wonder do we formally declare our major again in junior year or during CalSO ?

Even though I'm in bioengineering, is it hard to change my major from bioengineering to EECS ??

Yes, it is. EECS is considered a desperate realm – the Aryans in the COE.

Actually, switching into EECS within CoE is pretty easy; I was also a spring admit if you want to PM me about the process.

eyeheartphyscis: so what is the process for switching major from BioE to EECS for freshmen? What are the requirements ?
