From Canada and

I’m attend one of the top public schools in the country, or so people say, but we don’t have AP courses - I’ve never heard of AP courses in Canada. Will that hurt someone’s chances if they are trying to get in from Canada?

It won't hurt you as long as you have taken the hardest courses offered at your school. They can't hold the fact that APs aren't offered at your school against you. You could also take a couple college-level courses at a local community college (in Canada?) if you really wanted to have some college credits.

thank you.

ubetteraccept_me is right -- they compare you to people at your school, not American students.
