<p>hey im from dallas.... and i NEED to get out of this state.... NYU is definitely top on my list</p>

youth group (programming president) (with this youth group, we run a week long camp every summer for underprivaled kids, more than 700 hrs over four years) won "counselor of the year" last year</p>

tutor at library
plus that camp</p>

<p>Which college are you applying to? What major will you be applying as? I think you have a good chance of getting into College of Arts and Sciences.</p>

<p>And could you break your SAT score into the 1600 point system?</p>

<p>are you straight from dallas or a suburb? (this is just out of curiousity...btw) there's actually a lot of people up here from the dallas/metro area, I've found. i'm from rockwall...</p>

<p>yeah i think that you have a pretty good chance as long as you have a minimum of 600 is each part of the SATS. And NYU does look at ethnicity but they get so many applications you still have the be well qualifited to get in and your minority status wont override your stats that much.</p>
