Since college majors often related to job choices, what do you tell your kids about the world of work? Is telling them to do what they enjoy setting them up for disappointment or is it sound career advice?

<a href="http://blogs.wsj.com/juggle/2007/04/24/do-you-like-your-job/%5B/url%5D">http://blogs.wsj.com/juggle/2007/04/24/do-you-like-your-job/</a></p>

My kids hear the good and bad things about both our jobs. We talk about them over dinner as a matter of course. My younger son has also come to help me take measurements and has occasionally done some very simple drafting jobs. My older son has written some computer programs, set up the department website, and arranged online voting for my husband.
