<p>I actually didn't get my essay revised by anyone, but if I had to I'd let my school college counselor read over it.</p>
<p>I went through...:</p>
<p>My brother through chat, my counsin through chat, my friend #1 through email, my friend #2 through email (2&3 basically REWROTE the essay. It wasn't bad, actually. It was good revision.. I just had to remember go through one of them first and then the next one... don't give them the original at the same time (due to lack of time, i did it once.. it wasn't so great (cut and pasting)), and then my friend # 3 through the phone.</p>
<p>Yeah that was fun.. uh no... Just remember to do it WAY before the deadline</p>

<p>well...the best person is indeed a teacher, not necessarily an english teacher!</p>
<p>my list....2 teachers, a cousin, an ol' fren, another ol' fren, a local fren, another local fren.....got mixed comments......then conlcuded it's what i think that matters, not them!</p>

<p>I would say GC or teacher as well. I don't know if you should let your friends look at your essay. I had some friends originally revise mine and later showed it to my GC, who asked to see my orginal drafts and was like "did a student tell you to make these revisions?" "NEVER let students revise your college essays!" It wasn't that my friends had made grammer mistakes revising my essays. They had taken things out and added things my counselor didn't like. I would say make sure that it's always your words and not someone basically rewriting your essay for you.</p>
