Frosh & Faculty

I know its a little soon, but I was just wondering if you have to do Frosh with your faculty. I've read things about not having too a few years ago but I wanted to know if it had changed. No offense to engineers there are definitely some cool ones, but to be honest I don't want to be stuck with a bunch of guys on frosh. I want to go with science which is somewhat similar and probably not as one-sided gender wise =P

Save your money and skip Frosh altogether. You’re not missing anything (otherwise, I’m sure SSMU, SUS, EUS, AUS, QPIRG or whichever will gladly take your money so you can join their Frosh, you’ll never see the people you meet there again anyway).

when do we get information about frosh?

Trust me Frosh is awesome, I still am best friends with all my fellow froshies. And I’ve seen it from both sides as a frosh leader too, as well as this up coming year for management. Trust its a great start to the year

^ thanks! I also plan to go to McGill for a BCom like you. Can you please let me know about ur experience etc… which rez u went to … and about the employment opportuinties at McGill. I rejected Queens and Ivey for McGill, but many ppl are making me regret my decision. :frowning:

Thank you

check this out

^ :)

Veeery true, but there all saying that the employment opportunities at Queens is better etc… plus my parents are asian, so they really care about this aspect

Man, you’re overreacting. Half of McGill’s BCom class rejected Queen’s or Ivey, just like half of Queen’s Class rejected Ivey and UofT, etc. You’re no genius, this isn’t an isolated case.
Queen’s doesn’t have better job prospects than any good university in Canada, a business degree will never land you a job on its own (except maybe Wharton and its peers), and in the end, the only thing that will broaden your prospects will be the internship you’ll get at the end of your degree.
Ivey, Rotman, Desautels, Queen’s and Schulich all have equal prospects, so don’t feel sorry for yourself and get to know yourself, what you want to do as a professional, so that you’ll know what to say during interviews to distinguish yourself.

^ beautiful stuff :') Thank you!

If possible Frfd00000 can i also have ur opinion on these McGill Rez’s?

RVC, Carrefour, New Rez. I cant decide which one to choose and the deadline is close

I’d like to have a room mate to make a friend quickly, i would like a good caf, but i wouldnt want to share bathrooms and also i would not want a Rez which is too crazy with a lot of ppl, so i guess not New Rez…

@asian123 I love it at Bronfman High, you definitely get a more intimate experience than other faculties because you take a lot of the same classes as the people in your year.
I went to Gardner which I thought was the best… although everyone will say that about their rez. All i know is that everyone wanted in on Upper Rez by the end of the year so I would recommend that be a first choice if its not too late.
Not too sure about employment opportunities but I’m sure there is a lot of potential. Hopefully you can speak a bit of French though.
I rejected Queen’s and Ivey too btw. Both good schools but none will offer you the overall experience Montreal and McGill can

i sent u a pm Gohabs :)
