I am just wondering about frosh week. I am going to be 17 and I've heard from some people that's it sucks cause you can't get into bars and clubs and stuff??????? Is that true - even with a fake id?

Check out this new website for new McGill students – it has a section on Frosh, and talks about the under 18 problem. :(

thanks for that. that really sucks :(

I met a few 17-year olds when I went to Frosh 2010.

They weren’t carded at bars/clubs during pub crawl (because that would be too many people to card) and even at the beer tent in the McGill field the group leaders went to get beer for them.

Don’t worry about it.

As a Frosh Leader this August all I can say that we have to give you an underage bracelet (aka black bracelet). That being said there are places that won’t card due to the sheer chaos of Frosh Pub Crawl. Remember that Frosh includes all the amazing daytime event including…BEACH DAY. Literally Beach Day is worth buying a frosh bracelet all by itself. Unreal. Crazier than MTV Spring Break.

I’m sooo stoked! How many days is frosh and how’s the club scene?

The length of Frosh is TBD this year due to the fact that we’re intergrating it more with the current orientation offered by McGill and it’s first year office.

In terms of the club scene. Montreal is amazing. That’s all I’m going to say. If you’re doing Management Frosh…you’ll be partying it up like I did last year…Champagne showers (real champagne flowing) at Time Supper Club.
