FroSoCo For a Techie?

I'm considering FroSoCo. I'm a techie, probably studying computer science and robotics. Even so, i'm not totally allergic to all that is fuzzy, and i do enjoy a little philosophy and literature. I don't drink and i'm not really a crazy party person, so that's turned me off to the all-frosh dorm option - however, i don't want a place that's gonna be quiet ALL the time. I also want to be around some other techies, and around more freshman than i would meet at a 4 class. Would FroSoCo be the place for me?

…anyone?

FroSoCo is not a fuzzy dorm. In fact, it at least used to be a little more techie than your average dorm. So don’t worry about your techieness.

hmm FroSoCo is sounding better and better ever time I read about it…

I’m pretty sure FroSoCo is still more techie than your average dorm. (I think almost every guy I’ve met from there was a techie…) From your short description, I would say that you’d be a good match. Also, a lot of engineers like FroSoCo because it’s closest to the engineering quad.

Ok, thanks guys. Looks like i’m gonna be living in FroSoCo. :)

is there any kind of competitive process to get in, or is it self-selecting?

Another thread I read said 25% acceptance rate into Frosoco…so hopefully you can express legit reasons of why you want Frosoco in your housing essays.

ok, i’m not too worried. i have very legit reasons, and i hear the competitive process is to largely weed out the people who just apply for a chance at living in the big two-room doubles.
