This has got to be the most frustrating time of my life. I have applied to UTD as a transfer student. I am currently in a junior college in Texas and before that i was at a junior college in Michigan.. The GPA i had at the Michigan junior college was 2.9 and the GPA i have at my current college is 3.172 (It will go up with this semesters upcoming grades). I have over 50 hours of credit so far. Im really curious as to what y'all think. Will i get in ?

Hey there,

My name is Nick Hinojosa and I am a staff member at the business school here at UT Dallas (Naveen Jindal School of Management: [Home - Naveen Jindal School of Management - The University of Texas at Dallas](http://jindal.utdallas.edu/)).

What program are you applying to? (what major are you looking to take?)

Hi, Nick Hinojosa. I have applied to the Biology program. I have taken most of my core classes already. Hopefully if I get in, I will be starting in the Fall of 2013.

anything else i need to know?

Thanks for being patient. Unfortunately, I don’t know a lot about our Biology program here, but I was able to find our transfer guide online:

[UT Dallas Transfer Guide 2011](http://issuu.com/utdallascomets/docs/transfer-guide)

It says on Page 13 that the only minimum qualifications for our “assured” admission (for those with +42 credit hours) is a 2.5 GPA and good standing with your previous institution. Your GPA looks good, are you still in good standing?

PS: How far along are you on your math? Probably the biggest place where I see people getting tripped up in the transfer process is with their math.
