Frustrated with my schedule please help

I just got back from preview. My major is Env Engineering. Of all things, I had a music teacher for my advisor. She put me in chem2045 without a lab. Then she put me in a very late calc class.

I went on ISIS saw a calc class I wanted tried I tried to get into it but received an error message. So I went in real quick cacelled my calc then went back to reenter the new class that I wanted and both the new class and my class were gone.

NOW what? These are both tracking courses. How could this advisor book me into chem2045 without a lab????

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

labs are a separate class chm2045L. those labs are all full as of now which i would guess is why she didn’t register you for it. you will have to stalk isis from now through drop/add week to get the classes you need, most usually become available.

They are all full - but I know that some seats are sometimes held for preview sessions (are they all over already?). I was given this email address to contact someone after my transfer preview, you can try contacting them and telling them your situation - previewadjust@advising.ufl.edu. I know that the labs for sure are all full though, because I actually contacted them about 2045L to switch my section, and they wouldn’t let me do it (but that’s different than not having one at all). Make sure that you include your name and UF ID when you email them.

Critical Tracking Courses can never be “full.” A spot can be opened with a phone call during preview (from the adviser). I think your adviser really screwed up :</p>

Thanks everyone yeah I have a feeling they have the room available, but want to finish with preview.

I will contact the advisor that I had and ask her for help.

thanks again

Adviser had to call to find me a spot for Gen Physics II and the lab…

I remember when signing up for Gen Chem and its lab, there were only a handful of spots… I have Chem lecture 7:25 in the morning three days a week

Zapadniyru which advisor was able to get your course? The advisor at preview or your Engineering advisor?

My adviser at preview… We didn’t have a chance to meet with Engineering adviser during preview did we?

My preview adviser was a math professor btw

Great advice everyone I contacted my advisor he got me the classes I needed. He told me that since they were tracking courses I was guaranteed a spot.

I have on class I need to change but I need to wait until 8/02.

thanks for the advice.

for getting into full tracking courses, is space only guaranteed for freshmen, or is it like that for everyone?
