ahh.... so i called the admissions office yesterday (monday) and they told me they sent out a letter to me during the most recent wave, on Friday, February 3... but basically.. now i'm freaking out cuz i haven't gotten it yet in the mail. i know i shouldn't be freaking out, and it'll probably come tomorrow- i live in northern California. how long did it take you guys to get your letters??? anybody have any words of comfort/encouragement for me? haha : ) i'm going CRAZY.

My acceptance letter was dated 1/27--I got it this Saturday(Feb 4)
Good luck!

ohh okay sweet... that makes me feel so much better. what state do you live in??

i keep going crazy thinking ..."what if she made a mistake typing in my ID number and i didn't get it... what if this happened... what if this happened..." i know its horrible, but i won't stop worrying until i have the letter IN MY HAND lol

come on y'all... you can do better than that.
help a sista out : )

hi! I don't know that much about how fast mail travels in california but give it a week... If u haven't received anything by next monday then call again. Do they really tell you if you call them whether or not a letter has been sent yet???? What if all the documents have been reviewed on the sig.usc website? does that mean you'll receive a decision soon? I'm sure they didnt type the wrong ID number and if they're sending your letter now thats a good sign!!! I don't think they send rejections until the end of March! Good luck!!! Let us know if you get in!!!!

the sig.usc website actually didn't work for me. i called, gave her my USC ID number, and she said a letter was mailed out to me on Friday, February 3- the only letters they send out early are acceptances, so yeah i'm hoping for the best! if i were you, i'd give the application office a call... they'll let you know if they've sent a letter to you or not. i felt so bad- i was with my friend andrew when i called, and he also checked on the status of his application... that lady basically told him "uhh. you get to wait til march." oh well. fingers crossed for him too!

andybody else know how long it took to get the letter?

PA (By the way, I applied Regular Decision--I think I got it early because I was offered a scholarship interview)

so what did you say when you called? Did you just ask the status of your application?

queen of fiji: everyone applies regular decision. USC doesn't have early decision. you apply by dec10 if you want to be eligible for scholarships, and jan10 if you dont want to be eligible.

kaitylin: i just asked if she could check on the status of my application. she said sure, i gave her my ID number. a couple seconds passed while she looked, and then she asked if i had received anything in the mail yet. I said no, and then I overheard her asking someone else in the admissions office "the last wave came on friday, februay 3, right?". then she told me that mine was sent out feb 3, and that I should receive something in the mail soon. but i'm still NERVOUS i can't help myself!

negative, I do not understand

okay let me clear it up
A) if you have been accepted and
B) if you have received your letter of acceptence, then
C) how long did it take you to receive your letter after they sent it?

postmarked 27th?
received 30th

scholarship received just yesterday (2/6)

congrats!
and where do you live? socal?

in dallas area (texas)

ughh. i live in norcal. but maybe i'm just being paranoid?

Are any of you guys transfer students??? Do you know if they will also send out early admission letters to them (the hopefully transfers)...like the freshmen applicants??

I'm a transfer. I got in as a freshman but didn't go so I didn't have to fill out the whole application again...I hope I get in though and I really hope I don't have to wait until end of June to find out...I'm really hoping that transfers will be notified sooner than that.... I think occasionally they send it early for transfers but it just depends--sometimes its not until summer. I'm going to call admissions tomorrow to try to find out more and I'll post if they say anything useful.

Sara,

Son's letter was dated the 31st of January, and it arrived in PA on the 4th of February.

Mine was dated 2/2 and arrived today (2/8).

kaitylin, since you got in as a freshman, where did you go instead?
