Frustrating Teacher

OK. I'm a freshman, right? And I'm in the advanced math class. Things were going smoothly at the beginning of the school year, but then the teacher started evening out the "math work level" between the regular and advanced class b/c she was too lazy or something. Now, the advanced and regular classes are literally doing the exact same thing!!! All the advanced math ppl are soooooo frustrated. We worked our butts off to get into advanced math for the advanced work, and where did it all go!?!??!!?! But no one wants to go up to her and scream at her just yet. Nobody wants to sacrifice their grades. Anyway, I was thinking of working up an anonymous letter maybe with some other ppl and giving it to her. Does anyone have any other suggestions? The teacher's not mean or teaches bad, but the work she's giving us--what's goin on?!?!?!?! Please help me.

Well, if you guys are really decided not to talk to her, the anonymous letter is a good idea. Here are some others:
- I'm assuming your school has a student council - complain to them
- Send a letter to administration instead of the teacher herself\
- Pass hints in class ... "are we going to do ..." OR "why is the other class doing the same stuff as us...soo wierd", you know, just so she gets the idea that her laziness is annoying y'all.

And then, of course, you (as a class) could always just be open, and politely remind her that she's teaching an advanced class :)

bounce-sa-dee-bounce...

If she's not mean, there is probably at least one student who is at least semi close/good friends/ on good terms with her so get that one student to bring it up slightly since he/she is risking the least.

Are you getting an "advanced" grade (meaning an extra point on your GPA for that class)? If so, I see no reason to complain. It should be the kids in regular complaning, if thats the case.

no, we're not getting an advanced grade for it. my school's weird, ok? anyway, the regular class gets graded easier. so it's not fair that we do the same work and they get graded easier. omg, i have to go see the counselor for this.

yeah, tell the counselors - they can usually help in this sort of situation. in fact, in my school, all teacher complaints end up in the Guidance Office lol :D
