F's/NP's in non-transferable courses?

Does it look bad to have D/F's in classes that are not UC transferable and thus not factor into your GPA?

I took half a dozen non-transferable classes when I first started, I ended up not going after realizing they weren't transferable so received F's/IP's in most of them.

However, I have almost all A's in my UC/IGETC classes.

I decided to include the failed classes in the app as that is what my counselor told me, but this doesn't influence the decisions of admission officers? I never really thought about it until looking at my submitted APP. The F's just look so ugly and really stick out even though the courses never counted.

If its not UC transferable then they dont care

unless u apply to UCB or any grad schools, then thats a problem.

wait, fer - it’s a problem or it ISN’T a problem?

I was told they didn’t care. But my app just looks weird with the F’s and then all the A’s. I’m afraid they would miscalculate my GPA or something by accident.

lol dude, you are thinking way too much. They will not MISCALCULATE your gpa :). It’s looks weird, but it’s not weird at all.

I say ur fine for undergrad, not fine for grad.

“im fine”

in other words, compared to be people taking the same courses with the same grades as myself but without F’s in non-transferable classes, I would be viewed the same? No prejudice?

why would grad schools care.

Yes, you would be viewed the same. At long as they are not transferable. ( ONLY FOR UNDERGRAD)

Why grad schools care? cuz it’s a grad school. If you want more information of why, then i will tell you. I need your confirmation :)
