Oh wow July!? mine starts late May!
Are you an international student Andrey B!?

Lucky b*****d!
Yes, I am Russian and I study in England. I live on campus.

Haha I knew it! Only my British cousins call summer break summer “holiday”
must be a European thing
Wait so you’re Russian, you study in England and you’re coming to UCSB for fall?

Hell yeah!
Also English people call it rubbish instead of garbage.

hahahaha thanks for the lesson monsieur
what exactly brings a Russian schoolboy in England to Santa Barbara? Are you studying abroad or coming here for good? And how the heck can you afford out of state tuition!?

England is cold and windy. People there complain about economic stability yet all the shops close around 5pm except for big supermarkets (slightly better in big cities).
Russia has conscription so I have to either go to the army. I have not been in Russia for a year already and if I come back I will be taken off the plane and either end up in jail or a military camp. Also the weather is terrible and people are not nice at all. One big problem is inflated prices: you can pay 125$ for a pair of Vans (waaaaat?!).

My family moved to Cali (Laguna Niguel) so I decided to attend university here and not in England.

My father is Business Development specialist on the Russian oil market. That’s why I can afford out of state tuition.

SHEESH! Those are all really great reasons to move to Cali. I’m sure you’ll love it here! (especially considering your alternative is joining the army lol) plus everyone here LOVES Europeans, especially if you have an accent!

Of course! Cali is a fantastic place to live :-)

Here is my FB, add me so we can talk later on: http://www.facebook.com/AndreyBogdanov5

Anyone who is even considering FSSP, DO IT. I’m currently a first-year and I did FSSP last summer. It was easily the best decision I’ve ever made. I made tons of friends, got to enjoy living on the beach, and classes really weren’t that bad. Plus, you get used to the campus before the crowds and other freshmen students arrive. Although it may seem a bit pricey, you can’t put a price on the happiness and fun you’ll have during FSSP, especially when you get college credit for it! To this day, I can still say those six weeks during FSSP were the best six weeks of my college career thus far. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Okay Andrey, expect a friend request from Deborah
And thanks liljen! I had some reservations but now I’m confident in my decision :)
