FSU posted it’s freshman admission stats this year. Mid range GPA is 4.1 to 4.5 and SAT is 1290 to 1400. Seems like a significant jump from last year. I wonder what this trend means for UF admits this year? Ugh, can’t wait til Friday.
Where did you find this information?
@tsommer123 It’s in the January 2018 FSU Counselor Newsletter (Noles Notes). See the following link (and scroll down a bit).

They give the stats for Summer, Fall and the Pathways program.
I’m honestly worried. I did get in for Fall at FSU with the Freshman Scholarship, but not sure it will be good enough for UF this year with an increase in stats.
Wow, FSU received over 48,000 applications!
Keep in mind that the number of applications (48k+), includes transfer applications and not only freshman application. Still, it looks like a significant increase over last years application numbers.
Looking at the statistics I’m still shocked I got in through Pathways. My stats fit the fall profile, I have great ECs, and worked with a teacher to ensure my essay and resume were high-quality. I’m really worried about getting into UF.

I think the Full Tuition Bright Futures is causing even more people to look at state schools. What a bargain!
@Trisherella Any idea how long it will stay full tuition? I need that when I apply to schools next year
The good news is that the legislature is working on making the increase long-term. It seems to have a very good chance of passing. I believe the Florida Senate has already done some work on this.
