Okay so I transferred money into my FSU Suntrust bank account, and it comes up on my Suntrust online banking, but not when check my FSU Card account in Blackboard? Are they two separate accounts?

Yes, they are different.

You can put money on your FSU card (for use in things like laundry machines, drink/snack machines, printers/copiers in computer labs, etc) by going into Blackboard though.

The FSU Card can be used as a debit card attached to your Suntrust account, but to use it on campus in the machines and stuff you have to use FSUCash (or cash).

This is correct. You can have three separate accounts “linked” to your FSU card. You can have your Suntrust Account linked by taking it in to Suntrust and having them activate it as a debit card. If you have flux bucks/garnet bucks they are accessed with the card. And finally, you can load money onto the FSU Cash account.

[The Florida State University](http://www.fsucard.fsu.edu/FSUCashDescription.html) Here is a chart.

There is overlap. The places you need FSU cash for are vending machines, laundry machines, copy machines or copy services and printers. You can use either Suntrust funds or FSU cash to pay cash for meals at the dining halls, to use at the Trading Post or Bookstore. You just tell them which you want to use. The FSU cash has NO PIN NUMBER and if you lose your card someone could swipe it and use the “cash.” The debit card function from Suntrust has a PIN. Most folks don’t put too much “cash” on the card. If you lose your card you can notify the Card Center immediately and they can deactivate your card and transfer the FSU cash to a new card. Just be careful, as always.

This of FSU Cash as loose change kind of money.
