FSU Class of 2022 Accepted/Rejected

@asmom there’s Southgate, which is ON campus and full of FSU and TCC kids.

@lastone03 last year my daughter would have been in the top 25% with a 1370. That’s incredible

@rah5720 When we were there last week, they told us packets would arrive this week.

Ugh- housing contract numbers today. Daughter’s friends got 206, 287… one of them hasn’t even paid yet. Mine … 3321. Terrible

@alwew3 How did you find your number already? We applied and paid, but I don’t see a number anywhere?

Oh wow! @alwew3 I just checked and found my son’s. He is #86! I guess that is good news. I don’t even know which one to apply to. Does anyone know what are the best dorms?

My son got #2568.

Daughter got #890 :frowning:

Looks like a wave of admission decisions came out today (March 6th). I got rejected. Here are my stats:

Intended Major: Theatre

GPA: 3.46 weighted
SAT: 1230
Rank: School does not rank
AP/IB: Full IB Diploma. HL’s in Theatre, English, and Economics. SL’s in Math, Bio, and Spanish. Predicted 35.

Clubs/Activities: Beyond compare. So many leadership positions and involvement in service and the arts. Multiple awards and honors.

So weird they released some yesterday. My son’s portal says March 29th for a decision which is what it has said since January.

the SAT looks good, AMartin, maybe the GPA, that’s on the low side.

Theater is one of the departments that requires an audition for most of their programs and gives out admissions notices at a different time than the university. I think that’s why some got notices this week when the second notification date isn’t for a while.

Looking forward for next wave of acceptance, please let us know your stats.

@Trisherella and @a.martin.99 – Just curious, did you see the EA numbers this year? There were many that had much higher stats that were also rejected. You are in good company. I know that doesn’t help but it was a super competitive year.

I’m late lol, but I was accepted into the University AND the school of music, so I am officially a NOLE!

Admissions officers urge applicants to apply early decision, especially with the highly competitive class of applicants. It is not wise to apply during the second round. The University received a record number of applicants again this year and trend is likely to continue.

Did anyone here apply to the film program?

Any idea what time decisions are coming out?
