I don’t know. Does FSU yield protect?
I got a 35 and also got admitted to PAthways. Interesting.
I have to believe it relates to the HUGE increase in number of applications to FSU. Apparently out of state applicants are taking the brunt of the extra rejections?
Based on my college research, admission officers consider GPA, the choice of courses and the level and rigor of those courses as the most important indicators to be successful in college. Then the test score and EC activities. A friend of my older D got a 35 in ACT, but just average GPA and not meaningful EC activities, as a result he only got accepted to average school. The acceptance rate for out of state applicants are always lower at public universities and the 41 percent increase of OOS applicants at FSU this year makes it even tougher.

Yes there was a link for OOS waiver. I’m sorry not to respond sooner; I didn’t have notifications on.
My daughter just got an email a few days ago inviting her to apply for Honors and for another scholarship. All students accepted into Honors are also in the running for a Presidential Sch. I’m happy about this because I thought you had to receive a Freshman Scholarship to be in the running. Not so.

@Leaddog, did your son get an OOS Waiver from FSU? His SAT score should qualify him but his GPA is a little low, I think it requires a 4.0 gpa weighted. Also, just curious was your son offered any scholarship to Clemson or South Carolina? Wondering how their OOS scholarships compare to FSU.
New to this thread so maybe this has been answered before, but DS didn’t submit his application until January 11. I’ve seen that many admissions decisions were made January 31 for those who applied earlier, but when are admissions decisions released for later applicants? We are OOS and he’s applied for Music (and just submitted recorded auditions earlier this week by the Feb 15 deadline).
@lisalisae The Regular Decision Announcement will be on March 28th https://admissions.fsu.edu/freshman/deadlines/

@Searching2020 My son didn’t get merit from FSU or Clemson but got Capstone Scholar at U of South Carolina with $86,000 scholarship. That GPA just kills him.
