Hello, I'm going to be a Senior next year and I need to start preparing my applications for the film schools I would like to attend. Now my parents aren't very supportive of this so they refuse to help me sadly. What I need help with is the Resume part of the application. I've never really have filled out a resume before nor do I really know what one looks like (unless it is like a job resume?) Could someone please help me out? I really have no one else to go to. If you'd be so kind to tell me what should go in/on it, or what it should look like? Thanks so much!

The resume is basically a list of what you have done/accomplished, leadership positions held, awards you have won(academic and/or film), clubs you belong to, etc. Anything that makes you stand out. Include dates and how long you held positions for.

Get 2 books: “how to ace the common application” and “lights, camera, application”
It will give you ideas on how to create one.

Thank you very much!

I am one of the authors of lights camera application, if you want to send me a draft of your resume by PM I’ll be happy to look at it and give you some advice.
