In december i got an honors application for FSU, but because of my procastinating ways i just sent the application out last week. The deadline was feb 11 and i sent it(via mail) on the 8th, does anyone think they got it in time? Am i stuck with lateral aadmissions because of my stupidity?
Thanks

you should be ok. The form just needed to be postmarked by Feb. 11th, so if you mailed it on the 8th you are good. I am from NC and mailed mine on the 10th.

Thank you I was worried because i sent them a check but they haven’t cashed it and i thought i wasn’t in contention anymore. Thanks tav252 for assuaging my fears.

is fsu honors by lateral admission exceptionally difficult?

I’m not sure and i don’t want to find out. I’d rather start out in honors, in an honors dorm at the beginning

If anyone forgot to send in the honors form, it is not the kiss of death. We forgot to send in my sons and then found it in a folder yesterday. I was freaking out so I called FSU Honors and they said that it’s not a problem and that it happens all the time. Form is now in the mail.

While i would like to know about FSU honors housing i would also love some feedback on honors housing in general. Would i be cut off from the rest of the student body? Are the rules very strict? Mostly i would like to know if ill have fun or if it is all work and no play.

No - you’d be in the Honors Dorm(s) but not cut off. You’d be in a great location in Landis.
No - the rules are not strict…but there are laws that are. Keep your wits about you.
Work and play - get the work done, then play. It is college, after all. If you wake up thinking you have work to do, you need to work more and play less. You’ll know when you can play.
