I am currently an undergrad at FSU. Right now I have a 3.6 GPA and work a full time job. I graduate in the spring and hope to have a similar GPA when I finish. I plan on taking a break the rest of the year but I was hoping to apply to the MBA program for entry spring or fall of 2019. I work for the State of Florida so I could potentially qualify for the tuition waiver program. I have exactly 10 years of work experience. I am currently an executive level assistant but I don’t have management experience. My degree is in business management and I plan to take the GMAT next fall. Chances?
I think your chances will depend in part on thing like your grades for business courses taken and what kind of GMAT score you get. I would put a lot of time in trying to get a good GMAT score. Good luck!
So long as your GMAT score is good, you should be okay. You might want to talk to one of the MBA advisors and ask what they think, as they would be able to tell you more.
If your job experience is something relevant I’d play that up too.
Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely talk to one of the MBA advisors soon to hear their opinions. I also run my own small company out of my home on the weekends for the past 5 years (a bakery that has supplied for several weddings/parties) Do you think I should include that when I fill out my application?
I’d include it.
