A photo of an FSU Med Student spending her spring break in Immokalee, FL working with medically underserved persons:

No beach, no beer, no bikinis...just sleeping on the floor of the FSU Med facility, perfecting their medical skills and practicing their Spanish. D1 reports that the med students, supervised by FSU Med faculty, saw some 500 persons per 4-hour session for medical screening.

Go 'Noles!

Fantastic! What a refreshing post, especially after reading some of jakelikes2bake’s posts… thanks, parent2noles, for putting some balance in the picture of FSU students.

I saw her down here!

You’re welcome. :)

My daughter was there, so you likely saw her as well. She told us there were some undergraduate students from Notre Dame in town they met who were very nice and curious about being a med student.

Another view of the students: http://www.naplesnews.com/photos/galleries/2010/mar/12/guadalupe-center-soup-kitchen/104353/#section_header

That is awesome! Society doesn’t foster generosity like it used to. P2N, congrats on raising great kids… you must be a great parent! We need more Tim Tebows in this world.

Thanks. I am insufferably proud of them, unfortunately. Apologies to all. :)

Do not apologize! I hope to one day say that I am a great parent like my parents and yourself. Hopefully I get lucky and find someone with these great values to raise a family with. :)

Nice job P2N. But I think she is more like Myron Rolle. Plenty enough Tebow types in the world.

Well, gfg…D2 WAS available…no idea what you were waiting for…an engraved invitation, perhaps? :D

What??? She’s not available anymore??? hahaha You told me she was too picky… Well, let me know if it doesn’t work out with her bf! hahaha :D

Not sure how I could handle marring an FSU family… Nov would be pretty interesting, especially during Thanksgiving. :)

marring? That seems a bit harsh… >_>

Yeah that’s what I’m saying… I’d hate to see the Nole side of the family so depressed during the Thanksgiving dinners every year. :D
