I have to make a decision soon. Really soon.

Im deciding between FSU (full tuition covered) and Gatech (full LOANS)

Im also w8ing to hear back from UFlorida Appeal.

what would be the advantages at GaTech?

Im deciding between FSU (full tuition covered) and Gatech (full LOANS)

Im also w8ing to hear back from UFlorida Appeal.

what would be the advantages at GaTech?

What is your major?

Depends on your major. For engineering, GaTech would be my top choice.

well, im contemplating between Pre-Med / Computer Science (or engineering)

i may do dual tho.....

If computer science then Georgia Tech.

If engineering is not at the forefront of every fiber of your being (and it doesn't sound like it is), go to FSU and save the $$ for grad school.

Yeah, come to Tech if you're into Engineering, but go to FSU or UF otherwise.

But be warned! I went down to FSU to visit some friends, and I met a girl...she asked me where I was from and what classes I was taking.

I told her Calc II (Freshman class), and she thought I was extremely smart for taking such an advanced class so early.

Not sure if she was representative of the entire school...but, haha.

Atmosphere down there is really nice though, especially the Stadium.

GTs premed is so-so.

Can you justify your statement?

Ga Tech is a great school for the things it is good in like engineering, stellar, even in its areas of emphasis (see: http://www.gatech.edu/colleges/).

It is not a liberal arts university like FSU. FSU is a much broader university and I would say you'd get a much more rounded education at FSU (see: FSU Departments).

This is further evidenced by Tech not even having a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa (see: Phi Beta Kappa Society | Home. FSU was the first university in Florida to receive a chapter of PBK (see: Phi Beta Kappa Society | Chapter Chronology ).

Computer science would likely be better at Tech. Pre Med...I'd say FSU - especially with the Honors Medical Scholars program (see: fsu.edu | Honors Medical and Legal Scholars Programs).

Pre-med is not a major at all. So you basically want to be a Computer Science major on the Pre-med professional track. That would absolutely suck. haha, cold truth, comp. sci. is hard enough as it is. If you really know you want to go to med school, go to the college where you can get the best gpa and have the best opportunities...which, given our avg gpa for comp. sci majors, I'd go with FSU. If not and your passion lies with the computers, come here :)

Ok, Uf is out of the question. -.-

Im leaning towards Tech. Still undecided. Thanks for the replies!
